Betting on the ponies has been a spectacle since the Ancient Greek Olympics. Sure, they may have been trailing on chariots in their togas and laurel wreath's, but watching such magnificent beasts provides all parties with such a sense of communal belonging while also introducing the same competitive nature of modern sports. Even for those who aren't the gambling type just really like to watch the ponies and get out of the house. Good news -- the track is reopening.
