The Hi-Liners had an undefeated EDC season of 9-0 with a 12-4 regular season record and a 14-5 overall record. At the EDC Tournament, the Valley City Wrestlers took home the championship for the first time in school history, with a new team points record of 243.5 team points, a new EDC finalists record of 6 finalists, and a new EDC champions record of 5 EDC champions. The team then went on to state and placed 5th as a team, placing for the 4th time in Hi-Liner history, all of which were in the past 5 years. The team also had 10 state placers at the State Tournament beating the previous record of 7, with 9 of those wrestlers placing for the first time in their career. Individuals on the team were also awarded for their achievements.
