After closing out the East and West Region Tournaments, Class A boys Basketball enters the State Tournament this afternoon. Eight teams from across the state will be in a three-day battle for the coveted state title.
West Region Tournament
In the semifinals, Jamestown squeaked past Mandan to win 74-71, while Bismarck High won over Minot, 86-80. In the Final, Jamestown and Bismarck High, two incredibly talented teams, battled for the #1 West Region Seed in the State Tournament. The Blue Jays, defending state champs, fell behind Bismarck High, 84-79 and now go into State as #2 in the West.
East Region Tournament
Fargo Davies and Devils Lake met in the semifinals, the Davies toppling the Firebirds 84-66. The other semifinal game, West Fargo Sheyenne versus Shanley, ended in a hefty 74-51 win for Sheyenne. In the final, Sheyenne continued their dominance and downed Fargo Davies 68-48.
State semifinals and consolation semifinals will take place on Friday, followed by the Championship game and consolation finals on Saturday.
