Fireworks Sales Begin Today; Use of Them Begins Friday in Valley City

The sale of fireworks in North Dakota starts today and continues through July 5, but Valley City's ordinance only allows the use of them from Friday, July 1 through Monday, July 5.

According to Valley City ordinance fireworks can be used, detonated, or exploded only between July 1, 2, 3, and 5 from 8 a.m. until 11 p.m. and on July 4th from of 8 a.m. until 12 a.m. and from 12 a.m. until 1 a.m. the morning of July 5.

Fireworks can be sold from 8 a.m. until 11p.m. but the sale, use, detonation, or explosion of fireworks commonly referred to as bottle rockets or Roman candles is prohibited at all times.
