The Valley City Times-Record plans to run a historical photograph each week submitted by our readers.

This photograph was provided by Wes Anderson, curator of the Barnes County Historical Society Museum, and depicts members volunteers move content of the Barnes County Historical Society room in the Barnes County Courthouse into its new home on West Main Street in 1990. Society board members at the time of the move included Jean Miller, Merrill Strandberg, Earl Kelly, Roy Martin, Agnes Benson and Marilyn Henderson, according to an article by Angie Martin that appeared in a 1990 issue of the Valley City Times-Record.

Photos can be of people, events or places in Barnes County from 10, 20, 30 years ago, or even older. Please submit photographs by email to, or drop them by our office at 146 Third Street NE.
