After graduating high school in Valley City, Wyatt Hatcher found himself in California attending the Universal Technical Institute. After a year there, he headed down to NASCAR Technical Institute in North Carolina, hoping to break into the race scene someday. He graduated in 2017, applied to Penske Racing and was welcomed to the team. Based in Mooresville, North Carolina, Hatcher helped build race cars. He fabricated and installed side skirts, splitters and brake lines, also helping install rear ends or suspensions when other departments needed help.
Now, Hatcher has a new calling: being a United States Marine.
