SChool Closed Due To Coronavirus

Governor Doug Burgum has announced K-2 North Dakota Schools will be closed this week to prevent the spread of Coronavirus and to allow administration the time to gather more knowledge about how to proceed.

Students, Parents, and Guardians,

North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum has made the decision to close all North Dakota K-12 schools, private and public, beginning on Monday, March 16th and continuing thru Friday, March 20th. This decision by the Governor covers all students attending school at Valley City Public Schools.

Please understand that we received this information this evening at 7:30pm, the same time as our general public in ND. We will continue to provide our students, staff, parents, and community with information that involves our K12 school community over the next week.

A reminder that Valley City Public Schools will NOT be in school on Monday, March 23rd, as this was a scheduled day-off from school that was already on our school calendar. According to the information from the Governor this evening, Valley City Public Schools will be back in regular session on Tuesday, March 24th, unless directed otherwise, between now and then.

Watch for additional information and updates from local school officials to follow on
