VCTA summer activities starting soon
The registration deadline is coming up for several Valley City Tennis Association programs.
1) Summer Tennis League: Monday nights at 7pm from June 4 - July 30 playing the World Team Tennis format; $25 entry fee. Open to junior/senior high players and adults.
2) Adult Beginner Lessons: Monday nights from 6-7pm in June (4,11,18,25); $20 entry fee; 4 players minimum.
Registration is due by June 1 to the Valley City Parks and Recreation office. Call 840-1727 for more information.

VCSU offering youth basketball camps
The Valley City State University mens and womens basketball team will be hosting camps this summer.
The women will be hosting a position camp June 10-12, which starts at $135 per person for athletes in grades 5-12. The registration deadline is June 1.
From June 18-21, the mens team will host a boys camp for athletes in grades 2-12. There is a $60 fee per person and the registration deadline is June 14.

Suhr signs Letter of Intent with NDSCS
North Dakota State College of Science announced Friday that Valley City High School senior Allyson Suhr had signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball for the school.
Suhr was a three year letter winner and led the Hi-Liners in points, rebounds, and blocks
“Allyson Suhr will give the team an added inside presence at 6-1, plus her experience in cross country and track has added to her athletic ability in becoming a solid inside player who will be a factor in running the fast break,” NDSCS coach Paulette Stein said in a release.
