Weekend games postponed
Multiple Valley City High School teams had games postponed due to bad weather Friday.
The weather affected a home softball game with Maple Valley/Enderlin, a home tennis match with Grand Forks Central and a road baseball game against against Fargo North.
As of Sunday, the baseball and softball games were still awaiting a make-up date. The tennis match will be played today at 3:30 p.m.

Home games today
The VCHS tennis and baseball teams are at home today.
The tennis team plays a match with Grand Forks Central at 3:30 p.m., which was rescheduled from Friday.
The baseball team plays a double-header with Fargo Davies starting at 3:30 at Charlie Brown field.

VCHS track competes at Shanley
The VCHS boys and girls track teams took 9th and 7th places at the Shanley Invitational Friday at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn.
Jenna Cochlan was the top finisher for the girls. She won the javelin with a throw of 114 feet, six inches. Sprinter Jenna Jacob took third in the 100 meter dash and fourth in the 200 meter dash.
Paul Viland led the boys team with a third place finish in the pole vault.
VCTA holding Spring Fun Nite on Tuesday
The Valley City Tennis Association’s Spring Fun Nite will be held this Tuesday, May 1st, from 5:30-7pm at the North Court Tennis Complex.
A free hot dog supper will be served to players, parents and tennis supporters during the VCHS Girls Tennis match as the Hi-Liners take on Fargo Davies.
