The Barnes County Soil Conservation District and the Natural Resources Conservation Service offers the first ever High Tunnel Field Day this Thursday, July 21 at 5:30 p.m. to anyone interested in seeing the innovative high tunnel structure and learning what it has to offer plant growers.

Besides a tour of the high tunnel, attendants of Thursday's event will also get a chance to visit with a few people who are using similar structures in North Dakota and South Dakota.

Burgers and brats will be provided to those who attend thanks to the Barnes County Soil Conservation District.

All are invited to attend and are encouraged to RSVP by calling Jill Olson at 701-840-5133.

The high tunnel is located at the old Bill Winter Farm located on the North Valley Road, 7 miles North, 2 miles East, 1/2 mile North, and 1/2 mile West.
