At the time Lentz said some of the young men would be leaving soon. The team included her husband, Vince Olson, now deceased. Olson said many team members ended up serving in Korea, or attending Valley City State University. That year's team did well, ending up playing in the consolation championships, where they lost to Williston in the first round, Olson said.
