Police were also told that Uffelman had a loaded shotgun and threatened to shoot anyone who came to the door. At one point in the evening, Uffelman left the home, giving the woman time to take her children to the police station where she remained while police, assisted by the Barnes County Sheriff's Office, searched for Uffelman in the neighborhood around 714 Viking Drive. After getting consent to search the home, police found Uffelman unconscious inside with the shotgun within arm's reach, according to Thompson.Uffelman, who has a criminal history that included a conviction for criminal burglary, was arrested and charged with domestic battery, felon in possession of a firearm and possession of narcotics paraphernalia.This investigation is continuing and additional charges may result.
