Fall weather may make an early appearance this weekend as a cold front is expected to move though the area Friday and Saturday according to graphical forecast data from the National Weather Service in Grand Forks.
Friday’s low temperature is expected to bottom out at 50 degrees with thunderstorms expected to continue into Saturday. The total rainfall is expected to be less than a quarter inch and the humidity will be low.
Saturday’s high will be a cool 73 degrees and the showers will subside late in the afternoon as the weather system moves off to the north and east, leaving behind winds up to 24 mph. The next chance for wet weather will come on Tuesday.
Saturday night will be dry as the cloud cover clears with a low of 54 rising to a high of 80 on Sunday when winds are expected to reduce to 8 mph. Sunday evening will continue a warming trend that will usher in temps in the mid-80s for the coming week.
