Monday, August 8
A farmers market will be held at the Rosebud Visitors Center parking lot from 4 to 6 p.m.

Tuesday, August 9
Valley City USBC Women’s Bowling Association Fall Potluck Meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at Our Savior’s Church in the Family Gathering Room (upstairs). Hostesses are Janet Brown, Joanie Koch and Cheryl Olson.

Wednesday, August 10
The final night of Music at the Courthouse will feature Kroshus and Krew of Wahpeton at 7:15 p.m. on the Barnes County Courthouse Lawn in Valley City. A freewill offering is taken each night to support the continued work on the City Park Bandshell. Bring your own lawn chair or blanket. In case of inclement weather, the program will be held at the Vault on Central Avenue.

A community meet and greet for Valley City Public Schools new superintendent Joshua Johnson will be held from 5-7 p.m. at the Hi-Liner Activity Center Lobby. Food will be served.


Valley City High School Impact baseline concussion testing will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Junior High Mac Labs. Testing is required for any athlete who is entering the seventh and 10th grades, new to VCHS, or has sustained a concussion in previous years. Thursday, August 11
Bridge City Cruisers final Cruise Night of the summer will be held on Central Avenue in Valley City from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

A farmers market will be held in the Shopko parking lot from 4 to 6 p.m.

Friday, August 12
Valley City VFW Club is hosting a customer and employee appreciation dinner, featuring free barbecues and chips, from 5 to 9 p.m. For more info call (701) 845-2764.

Saturday, August 13
The Sheyenne River Valley Chapter North Country Trail Association will be working on the trail and needs volunteers. Meet at Rosebud Visitor Center at 8:30 a.m. RSVP to Chris at (701) 490-2295.

Sunday, August 14
Lee Schneider Benefit will be held at the Dazey Hall in Dazey, ND on Sunday, August 14th from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Free will donation pancake, sausage and scrambled egg meal will be served. Lee was diagnosed with lung cancer and will require extensive therapy and health care and will be out of work for at least three months. A benefit account has been set up for Lee and Sandi at Bank Forward.
