Tuesday, July 5
The Valley City City Commission meets at 5 p.m. at City Hall.

Wednesday, July 6
Music at the Courthouse, featuring Tuckered Out of Fargo, will be held at 7:15 p.m. on the Barnes County Courthouse Lawn. Bring your own lawn chair or blanket. In case of inclement weather, the program will be held at the Vault on Central Avenue.

Friday, July 8 to Sunday, July 10
Maryvale Convent, 11550 River Road, Valley City, invites all to join them for a Women’s Retreat: “Mercy: The Face of God” beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, July 8th through 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 10, 2016. Saturday, July 9
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is hosting an open house at Lake Ashtabula, northwest of Valley City on Saturday, July 9, in honor of the district’s 150th anniversary. The public is invited to attend the open house from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Mel Rieman Recreation Area.  The event will include tours of Baldhill Dam, visitor center exhibits and free root beer floats to the first 150 people.

Sunday, July 10
Praise and Worship in the Litchville Park with Pastor Mike Bishop will be held at 4 p.m. The event will feature an afternoon of music, featuring “Celebrate Recovery Worship Team Band” and a special message. Bring your lawn chairs. Hot dogs, chips and bars will be served after the program. The event is free and open to the public. In case of rain the event will be held in the Litchville Community Center.
