Tuesday, November 17
The Barnes County Commission meets in the commission chambers at the Barnes County Courthouse at 8 a.m.

Hospice of the Red River Valley invites health care professionals to its November Lunch and Learn from noon to 1 p.m. at 1240 West Main Street. Pre-resister with Missy Haut at melissa.haut@hrrv.org or 701-356-1563. Participants may bring their own lunches; coffee and water will be provided.

The Valley City-Barnes County Public Library Teen Movie Club meets at 4 p.m.

The Valley City City Commission meets at 5 p.m. at City Hall.

Valley City High School drama presents "How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying" at 7:30 p.m. at the VCHS Theatre. For tickets, call 701-845-0483, ext. 2.

Wednesday, November 18
The Valley City-Barnes County Public Library will hold Circle Time with Amanda Adams at 10 a.m. and Story Hour with Kristi Shanenko's eighth-grade class at 10:30 a.m.

Barnes County's North Dakota State University Extension Office presents "Nourishing Boomers 50+ and Beyond" from 2:15 to 3 p.m. at Bridgeview Estates. The event is free and open to the public.

The Valley City Public School Board meets at 5 p.m. in the board meeting room of the Central Administration Building.

Thursday, November 19
The Barnes County Senior Center will serve a turkey supper at 5:30 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by Doran Chandler/Sean Scoular.

The Barnes County Historical Society Lecture Series presents Dr. Diana Skroch (retired Valley City State University professor): Nepal — the Summit of the World" at 7 p.m. at the Barnes County Museum. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Friday, November 20
Valley City High School's stuff-a-truck food drive will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Hi-Liner Activity Center.

Friday, November 20 through Saturday, November 21
5 Star Bucking Bulls presents the 2015 Duel in the Dirt Bull Riding Finals at 7 p.m. at the Jamestown Civic Center. Tickets are available by calling 701-252-4835.

Saturday, November 21
The Valley City-Barnes County Public Library will hold Chocolate Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and International Xbox Game Day from 1 to 5 p.m.

Merry and Bright Showcase Craft Show will be held at the Valley City Eagles Club from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A bake and quilt sale will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at our Saviors Lutheran Church, 128 Third Street Northwest, in Valley City.

The Valley City VFW Club hosts band "8th Hour" starting at 8:30 p.m.

Sunday, November 22
Christmas at the Homewood will be held at 3 p.m. at the home of Tim and Becky Hager (exit 288 on Interstate 94 and 5.5 miles south on Highway 1 and 1.75 miles west). The event features a Christmas singalong and music by several area musicians as well as refreshments following the program.
