Monday, October 12
A farmers market will be held in the Rosbud Visitors Center parking lot from 4-6 p.m.

The Valley City-Barnes County Public Library will hold its annual meeting. Sloppy Joes will be served at 5:30 p.m., and the meeting begins at 6:15 p.m. The meeting is open to anyone interested in helping the library – membership is not required to attend the meal or meeting.

A fall choral showcase will be held at 7:30 p.m. at Epworth United Methodist Church in Valley City.

Tuesday, October 13
Jefferson Elementary School is celebrating National School Lunch Week. Parents are invited to join for lunch during the week. Parents of kindergartners through third-graders are invited for lunch at 11:15 a.m. Kindergarteners: Wednesday, First-graders: Thursday: Second- and Third-graders: Friday.

Wednesday, October 14
A flu clinic will be held at Washington Elementary School from 7:30 to 9 a.m. in the computer lab. City-County Health District will administer the vaccine. Forms are located at www.citycountyhealth.org. Call CCHD for more information at (701) 845-8518.

Valley City-Barnes County Public Library Circle Time with Amanda Adams will be held at 10 a.m. Story hour with Melissa Lloyd will be held at 10:30 a.m.

Thursday, October 15
A farmers market will be held in the Shopko parking lot in Valley City form 4-6 p.m.

Barnes County Senior Center supper will be served at 5:30 p.m. with entertainment “Sing a Song.” The center is located at 139 2nd Ave SE, Valley City. Call 701-845-4300 for more information.

The Barnes County Historical Society Lecture Series Season 18 Presents: Dr. Kimberly Porter (UND) “Homesteading the Dakota Way,” at 7 p.m. at the Barnes County Museum. The public is invited. All lectures are at the Barnes County Historical Society Museum and held in conjunction with Valley City State University. They are free and open to the public. First Community Credit Union in Valley City will host International Credit Union Day with an open house featuring refreshments, give-a-ways and door prizes.

Saturday, October 17
Valley City-Barnes County Public Library will hold chess at 11 a.m.
