Water board welcomes new members

The new Barnes County Water Resource District Board met for their first meeting of 2012 on Monday morning with new members Jerry Hieb and John Kohler. Pictured from left are Vice Chairman Pat Hurly, Hieb, Kohler, Chairman Jeff McMillan, board secretary Jamie Smith and Duane Lettenmeier.

The new Barnes County Water Resource District Board met Monday for its first meeting of 2012.

Jerry Hieb and John Kohler joined the board which already consisted of Jeff McMillan, Pat Hurley and Duane Lettenmeier.

"I want to say one thing, Jerry," Hurley said to Hieb during the meeting, "I'm glad you're on the board, you and John (Kohler), "I think it's going to be good."

At the beginning of the meeting, the board moved to make Hurley vice chairman and McMillan chair.
