At the request of Barnes County Sheriff Randy McClaflin, the Times-Record will begin featuring a wanted felon each Wednesday as a way to enlist the public's help in locating individuals who have felony warrants out for their arrest.
The first wanted felon in the project is Tyler Delmore, who is wanted for a felony and a number of misdemeanor charges.
Delmore, 27 is a sex offender who has not registered as the law requires. He is wanted on a warrant issued by Barnes County District Court for failure to appear in court for for the offense of failure to comply with child offender registration, a class C felony.
Delmore was convicted of gross sexual imposition in 1999 when he was 14; he had sex with a 12-year-old girl.
Delmore was convicted of gross sexual imposition in 2005 at the age of 19; he had sex with a 14-year-old girl and did not use a condom. As a high-risk sex offender, Delmore is required to be a lifetime registrant and is now considered an absconded sex offender.
Delmore also has outstanding misdemeanor warrants issued by Barnes County District Court for failure to appear in court for the charges of possession of a controlled substance â€“ marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and for the charge of drove in actual physical control.
Delmore is a Native American with brown hair and brown eyes. He is five-feet, six-inches tall and weighs 185 pounds. His last registered address was 135 Second Street Southeast, Valley City.
