Viking Softball Sweeps Series at Presentation

Viking softball torched Presentation College 14-4 in five innings and 12-8 in seven on Sunday to complete the weekend’s four-game road series sweep.

In the four-game sweep of Presentation, Valley City State racked up 48 runs, 62 hits, seven home runs and 12 doubles and pulled off a .440 team batting average.

The Vikings improve to 6-2 in the North Star Athletic Association and 17-15 overall.

Valley City State’s schedule calls for a 3 p.m.-and-5 p.m. North Star Athletic Association doubleheader at Jamestown on Wednesday, but those games are tentative with an unfavorable weather forecast.
