Viking Softball Sweeps Jamestown for Top Spot in NSAA

(VCSU Athletics) Valley City State sophomore utility Cejay Hilhorst slides into home plate for a game-winning run in the top of the seventh en route to a 2-1 game one triumph. Hilhorst led the Viking offense with two hits, two runs and three RBIs in Valley City State’s victorious 9-6 game two

Valley City State softball ascended to first in the North Star Athletic Association standings with a 2-1 late-inning win in the first game and a 9-6 triumph in the second — their seventh and eighth wins in a row, all conference games — for Thursday’s doubleheader road sweep of rival University of Jamestown.
