By Steve Browne Valley City Times-Record Barnes County accepted delivery of a new New Holland model T8020 tractor Monday, June 30, for mowing the highway verges this summer – rent, one dollar. Highway Supt. Kerry Johnson, said this is the second consecutive year in a row Titan Machinery of Casselton has let Barnes County rent a tractor under these terms. The agreement provides the county use them for a maximum of 200 hours, do all maintenance and return them in like-new condition. “They don’t even bother to collect their dollar,” Johnson said. “It’s part of our commitment to local communities,” Kevin Boeder, store manager for Titan said. “We want to spread our image through the counties.” For full story, see Wednesday's edition of the Valley City Times-Record.
