Party-goers deserve share of blame
Wednesday, 02 April 2008
Letter from Sam Nannenga
Valley City, N.D.
This is in response to Erick Counts’  letter. If our police department had not been babysitting a group of adolescent college students who were also breaking the law, they (the PD) could have been out patrolling the streets. Then there might have been a chance that they could have prevented some of the break-ins. You seem to think that for some reason that the party should have been left to go on unabated. Do you think if the party had cooperated when the PD showed up that it would not have taken so many officers to handle the violators? I think our local businesses that were broken into should thank the students that choose to occupy our local PD with such great behavior for growing young adults and future community leaders and teachers.
