The hottest Winter Show item Tuesday was more than halfway sold out prior to Winter Show getting under way.
Triple T Toys, out of the Minot area, was selling a 1:64 scale International 4386 tractor as the official 71st Annual Winter Show collectible.
“It’s the second year we’ve done this,” said Pete Thorp, who, along with Kirk Norlin and Aaron Zaharia, run Triple T Toys. “Last year (Winter Show officials) wanted an official collectible for the 70th show and we were able to come up with a (John) Deere.
“For this show, we have 50 of the official collectibles and 28 were pre-sold before we got here.”
With the Toy Show a one-day event at the Winter Show, the collectible was a hot-ticket item.
“We got here with just 22 of them to sell,” Thorp said Tuesday afternoon. “They’ve been selling well and I would imagine we’ll sell out of them pretty soon.”
