Billie (Twamley) and Verne Poppen will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on March 16.
Billie Twamley and Verne Poppen were married March 16, 1968, at Wesley Methodist Church, Valley City.
The Poppens have two children: Dana (Scott) Hester, Sugar Grove, Ill., and Jason (Heather) Poppen, Yorkville, Ill.; five grandchildren: Jordan and Madison Hester and Samuel, Charles and Emma Poppen.
They celebrated their anniversary in Cancun over Valentine’s Day week.
The Poppens reside in Bristol, Ill.
