Daniel Rugroden Hickson, N.D. No presidential candidate agrees with me on all the issues. So I have to go through a process of elimination. I have to pick the one who agrees with me on most of the issues. The Democratic candidates have eliminated themselves from my consideration. Both want more taxes. I want fewer taxes. Both want amnesty for illegal aliens. I want no amnesty for lawbreakers that enter this nation illegally. Both want more big brother government interference. I want less big brother government interference in my personal life. Can you spell 1984 George Orwell? Hence, neither of the Democratic candidates are worth consideration. At best, these candidates are socialist, and at worst, they are communist. That leaves the Republican candidates. Mike Huckabee raised Arkansas state spending 65.3 percent while he was governor. Mike increased sales tax and gas tax in Arkansas. Mike acts like a tax and spend politician. Mike would allow illegal immigrants to earn citizenship. Mike favored in-state tuition for illegal aliens and their children when he was governor. I cannot vote for this person. John McCain has consistently supported amnesty for illegal aliens. John said we might stay in Iraq for maybe 100 years. I do not want my great-grandchildren fighting in Iraq 100 years from now. John has voted for anti-life bills. John has voted for free trade bills that would result in unfair treaties that our founding fathers warned us against. I cannot vote for this person. Ron Paul is the only “good” candidate. Dr. Paul is pro-life, pro-gun rights and pro-tax cuts. Dr. Paul wants to reduce government interference. Dr. Paul has been and is a patriotic protector of individual personal rights. Dr. Paul’s vote has consistently been influenced by the Constitution. Dr. Paul has earned the nickname “Dr. No” because he has voted no to congressional pay raises, no to new taxes, and no to amnesty for illegal aliens.
