Have you even wanted to learn more about technology, but don’t know where to go and don’t want to pay too much?
Here’s the answer. The North Dakota Winter Show Women’s Division and EduTech Education Technology Services are joining together to offer two technology workshop sessions.
The seventh annual Technology Day on March 5 at the Regional Technology Center at 415 Winter Show Road is loaded with useful information. The fee for each session is $15. Participants may sign up for one or both sessions. Space is limited, so pre-register early.
The morning session from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. is “Click, Fix, and Print” with instructor, Charity Nix, EduTech Information Technology specialist.
Participants will explore the world of digital photography, like software to fix and manipulate images, printing options available at a low cost, and other good information.
The afternoon session from 1:30 p.m. 3 p.m., is “Virtual Online Subscriptions: Blogs and Podcasts,” with  instructor, Kim Owen, EduTech coordinator of Instructional Services.
This workshop employs advanced Internet searching techniques by creating a custom search engine to locate and download Web resources. Participants will view podcasts via iTunes and internet browsers, as well as explore blogging, wikis, RSS feeds, and Google tools pertaining to their personal interests.
Pre-registration may be made by calling NDWS Technology Day committee members, Kathy Dietz at 845-2446 or Marie Baumgartner at 845-2954.

Anyone wishing to pre-register for one of both of the technology classes offered by the NDWS Women’s Division on March 5, may call committee members, Kathy Dietz, left, at 845-2446, or Marie Baumgartner at 845-2954. (Jean Schlegel/VCTR)
