Parents of Randi Tompt, Valley City, and Matthew Buttke, Fingal, announce their engagement. Parents of the couple are Brenda Tompt, Valley City, and Davis and Shirley Buttke, Fingal. Randi attends Valley City State University and is employed with Grotberg Electric. Matthew farms near Fingal. A Dec. 29, 2007 wedding is planned at Faith Lutheran Church in Valley City.
