Lee Morris / Times-Record Theatre I & II Assistant Manager Kayla Straabe laughs Thursday as she talks about the premiere of “New Moon,” the newest “Twilight” series movie that opened at midnight Thursday.
By Lee Morris Two hours before they ordered a chicken alfredo pizza, before temperatures fell below freezing, three teens sat on lawn chairs under fleece blankets to ensure they saw the latest movie in the “Twilight” saga. But the second film in Stephenie Meyer’s ultra-popular series, “New Moon,” would not begin for hours yet. The 17-year-olds arrived at the Valley City theater at 4:45 p.m. Thursday for the midnight premiere. “My toes are freezing!” said Valley City High senior Amanda Creviston. Like her friends, Creviston would have to get up this morning for school, where Amy Kapaun said an advanced biology test today was stopping some of her classmates from seeing the film on opening night at The Theatre I & II.
