Valley City said farewell to flooding Saturday by burning sandbag pallets as part of Community Days, the annual city celebration.
The bonfire and cookout drew a couple of hundred people, said Valley City Fire Chief Gary Retterath.
The parade on Central Avenue on Saturday morning also drew a crowd.
