Sheriff’s department arrests Dahl in meth case |

By Steve Browne Valley City Times-Record Jeremy Dahl, 35, was arrested by Barnes County Sheriff's deputies on Thursday, March 12, on three drug-related charges: attempting to manufacture a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia – methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia – marijuana. Dahl was charged on March 2, after law enforcement officers executed a search warrant on Dahl's residence in Dazey on Feb. 5. Court documents say officers found containers of xylene, acetone, anhydrous ammonia, and equipment commonly used to manufacture and ingest methamphetamine, including two syringes. In addition, officers report finding a smoking device with residue and a plastic container with marijuana seeds and stems in it. Dahl is being held in the Barnes County jail. Bail has been set at $500 cash. Attempting to manufacture a controlled substance is a class B felony, punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Possession of drug paraphernalia – methamphetamine, is a class C felony, punishable by up to five years and a $5,000 fine. Possession of drug paraphernalia – marijuana, is a class A misdemeanor, punishable by a year in prison and a $2,000 fine. No court date has yet been set.
