Tracy Gilbertson
Wednesday, 18 July 2007
Memorial services were held for Tracy Gilbertson at Miller Funeral Home, 507 S. Main Ave, Sioux Falls, S.D.  She died June 6, 2007.
A celebration of Tracy’s life was held in Valley City on  June 29, at Chautauqua Park.
Tracy Gilbertson, the daughter, of Robert (Gilly) and Anne Marker, was born in Bismarck on Nov. 17, 1962. Tracy graduated from Valley City High School in 1981.
Grateful for having shared her life are her sister, Annie Petersen, Tucson, Ariz.; brother, Dell Scott (Fr. Lazarus Goodwin), Richford, Vt.; aunts: Carole Pagones, Sioux Falls; Mary Larson, Huron, S.D.; many nieces and nephews, cousins, very special friend, David Swan, Sioux Falls, and many special friends too numerous to name.
Tracy was preceded in death by her parents, her paternal grandparents and maternal grandma.
Tracy’s journey is complete. She touched lives and allowed herself to be touched in friendship. Tracy will be remembered for her stubbornness, her ability to ignore all suggestions and advice. She will be remembered for her determination and her upbeat laugh, her loyalty, her tender heart, pink sweaters and her answering machine. The family said, “For those of us loved by Tracy – we have been given the gift of her courage, and for those of us who loved Tracy, it’s been quite a ride.”
The family wishes to acknowledge the friends that filled her life with joy and helped complete her journey.
Memorials may be directed to the 2nd Chance Animal Shelter in Sioux Falls.
