Mercy Hospital adds two new services
Monday, 06 October 2008
Speech therapy and outpatient arthroscopic surgery will now be provided by Mercy Hospital, according to administrator Keith Heuser.
“I am pleased to introduce David Bergstedt, speech therapist as one of our most recent members of the Mercy team. Bergstedt has extensive experience in working with individuals who suffer from strokes as well as many other procedures,” Heuser said.
The other new service is outpatient arthroscopic surgery. Drs. Nelson and Hvidston with Orthopedic Associates in Fargo will come to Mercy Hospital on a regular schedule to perform arthroscopic surgeries. In addition, the operating room staff has received special training to assist the surgeons and the hospital has purchased special instruments to accommodate this new service.
“This joint effort will benefit the patients in the surrounding area as well as the hospital. These new services support our commitment to the greater needs of this community and enables us to continue our mission of healing,” Heuser said.
