Valley City Public Schools superintendent Dean Koppelman announced in an email Tuesday the school district's plans if they have to make up a snow day.
The school board sent a request to the Department of Public Instruction and North Dakota Gov. Jack Dalrymple's Office to waive having to makeup the missed day of school Monday, April 15. Koppelman said, "We may not have an answer to that request until the first part of next week."
"To try and help everyone with planning in the event that we do have to make up the day, I have met with our building principals to develop a plan to make up the missed time," he said.
The basic plan is that school days would begin 15 minutes earlier and dismiss 15 minutes later Thursday, May 9 through Friday, May 24, the last day of school.
