VCHS JV track teams compete in Fargo

The Valley City junior varsity track teams were in Fargo Thursday for the Davies Junior Varsity Invitational.
The boys finished in fifth place at the meet and the girls took third.
The only Hi-Liner to win an event was Tia Wagar, who won the 3,200 meter relay, but the team also had success from Barbra Zubrod, who took second place in the 800 and 1,600 meter runs; Jamie Ronning, who took third in the 800, and the 4x100 relay team, which took third.
Throwers Aislinn Fogarty and Beth Berntson also had success. Fogarty took second in the javelin and fourth in the discus. Berntson took fourth in the shot put.
The boys had success from Christian Kvilvang, who took second in the triple jump, and Carson Sorby, who took fifth in the shot put.
