VCHS Harriers Complete Hi-Liner Challenge

October 18, 2013

Hi-Liner harriers competed in the Hi-Liner Challenge on Wednesday, the last team event of the season before nine VCHS runners go to State at Valley City's Bjornson Park Golf Course on Oct. 26.

The Challenge, a 1.5-mile Chautauqua Park course in 50-degree, slightly breezy conditions, put the Blue Team against the White team in a team points contest based on individual times.

Blue Team contenders were Casey Engelhard, Jamie Ronning, Caleb Reign, Jessica Ronning, Noah Plagens, Mikayla Wolla, Mikey Meester, Molly Dockter and Hunter Olstad.

White Team harriers were Nathan Johnson, Jack Jordan, Mikaylah Ross, Barbara Zubrod, Eden Crump, Rebecca Thompson, Eliza Schueneman and Aislinn Fogarty.

For the second year in a row the race was very close, but the Blue team edged the White.
