VC Schools to Seek Forgiveness on Snow Day

April 17, 2013

Emilee Olson spent her Monday snow day building a "tropical" snowman from the freshly-fallen heavy, wet snow. Monday was the fourth snow day for the Valley City Public School district, and superintendent Dean Koppelman plans to ask for forgiveness on the day.

Valley City Public Schools superintendent Dean Koppelman plans to ask the school board to support him in asking the North Dakota Department of Instruction and Governor Jack Dalrymple's Office to forgive Monday's snow day and all others in the future.
Koppelman said Tuesday the school district has used all four of its designated makeup days this school year, and board members will discuss the issue during the next school board meeting, Tuesday, April 23 at 5 p.m. The meeting was rescheduled from Monday.
