VC McDonalds Delayed, not Abandoned

May 27, 2014

Developers still plan to build a McDonalds in Valley City, though some red tape from the state slowed construction.

According to Dave Andersen, Valley City Building Inspector, developers are in the process of obtaining permits for the new restaurant, which is planned off Winter Show Road behind the Wagon Wheel Inn near KLJ. Before a building permit can be issued, the state of North Dakota needs to approve plans for storm water waste disposal.

According to Andersen, this permit was delayed, but a request was made to expedite the process. The plan should be approved soon.
