January 22, 2012

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) issued a Travel Alert in parts of southern and eastern North Dakota Sunday morning. The Travel Alert has been extended to include the Valley City area due to freezing rain and potential heavy snowfall creating icy and snow covered roadways. The Travel Alert now includes areas surrounding Bismarck, Jamestown and Valley City.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) has lifted the No Travel Advisory for the Dickinson area. Motorists should be aware areas of scattered ice may still remain on the roadway making travel difficult.
