October 28, 2013

Perkins, Inc. owner Jerry Perkins, second from right, hands Valley City Fire Chief Gary Retterath, right, a check for $2,000, after the dealership hosted a test drive event to raise money for the fire department. Also pictured is Perkins parts manager and volunteer firefighter Dewey Magnuson, left, and Valley City City Commissioner Mary Lee Nielson, second from left.

Anyone who test drove a vehicle at Perkins, Inc. earlier this month helped contribute $2,000 to the Valley City Fire Department. Perkins sponsored the Chevrolet Drive to Help a Hero Program Oct. 7-12, in which the dealership donated $20 to the VCFD for each test drive.
