Stabbing Suspect Waives Extradition

Zakariya Abdikarim, who was arrested Friday in Valley City, will be returned to Moorhead, Minn. where he faces assault charges for allegedly stabbing a man earlier this month.

A man arrested in Valley City Friday by Valley City Police will return to Minnesota to face assault charges after waiving extradition.
Zakariya Abdikarim, 26, waived extradition to Minnesota before Southeast Judicial District Court Judge James Hovey Monday. Abdikarim was charged with first and second degree assault in Minnesota for allegedly stabbing a man in Moorhead on May 5.
