St. Catherine’s Church in Valley City is seeking volunteers for its largest fundraiser for its faith-based programs Jan. 23.

Debbie Carpenter, administrative assistant, said there are various shifts open, and people are especially needed to assist with clean, which begins after the supper at 7 p.m.

She said the church also needs people to waitress tables, run games in the gym, and help with “odds and ends things.”

Those interested in volunteering can call Debbie at (701) 845-1453.
The Saint’s Alive spaghetti supper is the largest and only fundraiser that helps the faith education program from pre-k up to adult ages, Carpenter said. The event will feature a spaghetti supper, games, including a fun walk and marshmallow shooters, and raffle.

Carpenter said during the marshmallow shooters game, people “are going to be able to shoot the principals with marshmallows,” similar to a dunking game.

“We are also raffling off a third generation iPad along with a $100 gas card,” Carpenter said.

People can buy tickets at the school office now, or if there’s still some left, that night. The cost is $20 per ticket, and there were only 200 tickets printed.
