Sheyenne Shuffle Returning Oct. 26

October 15, 2013

United Way of Barnes County is "very excited" to host the Sheyenne Valley Shuffle, a 5K Fun Run/Walk this year. The Run was previously coordinated by the Byways Committee, chaired by Mary Lee Nielson and received several positive comments from participating runners and walkers. UWBC says they always seek new and fun ways to be involved in the community and raise funds to assist the agencies in the area and, after meeting with Nielson, decided to take on the event.

"This is the 11th year of the Shuffle," UWBC Board President Stacy Ingstad said. "[The Byways Committee] decided last year that it would be their final year of organizing the race. Mary Lee was hopeful that another group would take on the race and continue the event in our community."
