Shanenko Finalist for Top Teacher

Kristi Shanenko, an English language arts teacher from Valley City Junior-Senior High School, was one of four finalists for the 2014 North Dakota Teacher of the year.
In May, Valley City Public Schools named Shanenko, junior and senior high English teacher, as teacher of the year for the school district.
After receiving the local honor, Shanenko said, “I'm so proud to be here. I'm humbled and grateful and I'm honored.”
Gov. Jack Dalrymple and State Superintendent of Public Instruction Kirsten Baesler Friday named Aaron Knodel, an English language arts teacher at West Fargo High School North Dakota’s 2014 Teacher of the Year.
