Senior Volunteers Available

May 22, 2013

Lutheran Social Services Senior Companions are available to help seniors age 60-plus with free, non-medical in-home services in Valley City.
All senior companions are at least 55 years of age, pre-screened, trained and have a desire to make a positive difference in the lives of other seniors in their community.
On Feb. 27, Dolly Hoelmer, outreach worker for Valley City's adult services operation, said “It is a great program. Our volunteers are able to help people with vision problems, or if they just need a friend or are lonely.”
