School, Community Plan Mock Crash

Distracted driving is a cause of car crashes among teenagers. Each of the paper strips in this garland represents a student who took a pledge to not text and drive. A mock accident is planned later this month to demonstrate to area high school students the realities of a car crash.

Before going to prom this year, area students will get a close-up look at what could happen after prom – or any time – if they drink and drive, drive distracted or ride without seatbelts.
