Sanborn Man Charged After Bar Disturbance

In a Friday release, the Barnes County Sheriff’s Office reported that Terry Lee Cornell II, 39, of Sanborn was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment, a Class C felony.
According to the release, authorities responded to a disturbance call at the Sandoon Saloon in Sanborn. Terry Lee Cornell is alleged to have thrown an ax through the front window of the bar; after an altercation in the bar that had occurred. After repeated attempts from deputies to have Cornell exit his residence, Cornell refused.
The James Valley Tactical Team, consisting of officers from Barnes County Sheriff’s Office, Jamestown PD, Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office, and Valley City Police Department along with the North Dakota Highway Patrol responded to the Cornell residence. Cornell was taken into custody without incident.
Cornell was arrested on charges of Reckless Endangerment, a Class C Felony. Cornell is on probation out of Cass County; he is a felon with prior charges of Aggravated Assault, Menacing and Disorderly Conduct. Cornell is currently being held at the Barnes County Correctional Center.
