Rollover Injures Wimbledon Woman

November 7, 2013

A woman was injured in a rollover on a gravel road two miles southeast of Wimbledon Wednesday.
Darian Krueger, 19, of Wimbledon, suffered non-life-threatening injuries after the vehicle she was a passenger in rolled at about 2 p.m. Wednesday, the North Dakota Highway Patrol said in a press release. She was not wearing a seatbelt.
The driver, William Smith, 21, of Valley City, lost control of his 1993 Ford Ranger at a 90 degree curve on 98th Avenue Southeast at the junction with 19th Street Southeast. The vehicle entered the north ditch of 19th Street Southeast and overturned, coming to a rest in the south ditch. He was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured.
The Highway Patrol said Krueger was transported by Barnes County Ambulance to the Jamestown Medical Center. She was then transported by life flight to Sanford Hospital in Fargo.
The crash remains under investigation, and once the investigation is complete, charges may possibly be filed against the driver, according to the NDHP.
