Roger Peterson

Roger Guy Peterson, age 52, of Minnetonka, MN, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014 at his home in Minnetonka, MN. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Valley City with Rev. Rich Fitzer officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in the spring.
Roger was born December 29, 1961 in Valley City, ND, the son of Raymond and Margarete Peterson. He graduated from Valley City High School before graduating from the Colorado Institute of Art. While attending the Institute he married his high school sweetheart, Lane Seaborn, who then joined him in Denver. He started his career with G. L. Ness in Fargo, ND after which he moved on to freelance illustration. In 1995 they moved to Minnetonka where he continued his art and where they had their first child, Megan. Their second child, Evan, was born 3 years later. Roger enjoyed art, hunting, cooking and the outdoors, whether he was working in the yard or walking his dog, Jane. He was always there to lend a hand to neighbors or friends in need. More than anything he loved spending time with Family and friends. Roger will be remembered as a devoted husband, son, brother, uncle, friend, and loving father. He brought joy and happiness, with his smile and sense of humor, to all who loved him.
Roger is survived by his wife Lane and children Evan and Megan Peterson, all Minnetonka, MN; his brother Raymond (Vicki) Peterson, Fargo, ND, his sister Suzanne (James) Hannig, Valley City, ND, his brother Randy (Lori) Peterson, Harwood, ND, his brothers-in-law Cole (Susan) Seaborn, Dent, MN, Mitchell (Lisa Adams) Seaborn, Houston, TX, Sheldon (Lori) Seaborn, Grand Forks, ND Brandon Seaborn, Phoenix, AZ, sisters-in-law Jodi (John) Graf, Houston, TX, Jana (Ben) Daeuber, Fargo, ND, mother-in-law, Mildred Seaborn, Valley City, ND, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and one great-great niece.­
