Riley West Signs with Viking Basketball

(VCSU Athletics) Riley West, the St. Cloud Technical and Community College record holder for most points in a game (36) and most assists in a game (13), has transferred to Valley City State. West signed his letter of intent with his mother, Susan West, and father, Jason West present, and Viking head coach Jeff Kaminsky made the announcement on Monday.

Valley City State men’s basketball coach Jeff Kaminsky announced Monday that St. Cloud Technical and Community College point guard Riley West has signed a letter of intent to attend VCSU and play basketball for the Vikings this fall.

West, a 6-foot Lakeville, Minn., native who just completed his second year of collegiate basketball at St. Cloud Technical and Community College, was a two-year starter and helped lead the team to a 22-6 record in 2013. West averaged 14.5 points and 4.5 assists per game, and shot 34 percent from three-point range and 78 percent on free throws.
